Living in London

Have you ever wondered what it is like to live in London? I am going to tell you because I am living in London for a year, so listen up!

Our house in Tauranga was in the country but in London it is in the city. Our garden is very big in Tauranga but here in the city of London it’s very small. Here, have a look.

Our mail came in a mailbox in Tauranga. But here it comes through a flap on the door. We get excited if we hear the noise it makes.

Walking is exercise and exercise is good for you and we have to do heaps of walking because we do not have a car. But we can go in the car when people that we know pick us up. When we go far away we go on the train. The train goes under the ground. That is why it is called The Underground.

In Tauranga, we went to Tauriko School. Here we do not have to wear school uniforms because there is only the two of us. We do not have to listen for the bell. We do the same types of school work but we can choose what we want to do.

So now you know what it is like to live in London. I hope you enjoyed my story. I hope that you get to come to London one day. If you have any questions you can post them as a comment and I will answer them. If you are in New Zealand, you might have to wait a while though cos in London I am asleep when you are awake, and when I am awake you are asleep!

Oh I hear the mail coming. I’d better go!

  3. It must be so different living in such a big busy city. I've never been to London so I love to hear about the places I have heard about. What are your favourite foods in England? have you seen the Queen? We are voting in the flag referendum at the moment to decide if New Zealand should have a new flag or keep the old one. In our class we voted to keep the old flag ... the one with the Union Jack. Hope you see this when you wake up. Miss you lots, and Mum xx

    1. Thank you for your message. I miss you and Room 14. We haven't seen the Queen but we went to Buckingham Palace. We eat the same sorts of food here.
