Meeting Warwick Davis.

On May the 4th, my family and I went to one of the biggest Disney Stores in London to meet Warwick Davis. He acts in all kinds of movies, for instance Star Wars. He acts as an Ewok. Why they picked him was because he is a dwarf and they needed a small person to fit in the Ewok costume.

The wait was so long. When we got there the line was from the door of the store to the end of the street. There were two Stormtroopers and a Jedi Killer walking around entertaining people in the line. It was so amazing. I was excited that I was going to meet Warwick Davis.

I was not happy when a man said that Warwick Davis was just going to go by in a car. I wanted to get his autograph.

After two hours, we finally got to meet him. It was so fun (not waiting in the line, but meeting him). We got to shake his hand and got his autograph. He is very small. I expected him to be as big as me but, no, he was not. He was a bit smaller. He rides on a segway, except not in the movie.

I thought that it was fun meeting Warwick Davis, especially meeting him on Star Wars day. May the fourth be with you!

Riding the Star Flyer in Sheffield

The Garden Discovery

One May the 4th, an old lady went outside to do some gardening. She was getting a shovel to dig. She put the shovel in the dirt and guess what she found? It was an old, rolled up blanket that had a thick, dirty black thing in it with a button on it.

The lady wanted to press the button to see what it would do. She pressed it an out popped a big, long red thing that lit up like a star.

She went to talk to her son and blurted out, "I was digging and found a lightsaber!"

"Mum, Mum, Mum! What did you say? A light sausage?" he asked.

"No. A lightsaber." she answered.

"OMG! That is so cool. Can I see?" he asked. "Oh my, that is a dark side lightsaber."

Mum said, "Ok. We better go to a police station and see where to keep it."

"Yes, let's go", said the son. "Hold on, we forgot the lightsaber. I'll go get it."

They hopped in the car and drove to the police station and when they got there the police said, "Oh, I cannot believe you found a genuine lightsaber. You see, this has been missing for millions of years and now it has been found. Which one of you found this because whoever finds the lightsaber becomes a Sith lord."

The old lady's mouth dropped open. "All I wanted was to do my gardening!" she exclaimed.

The National Pet Show.

Snails, cockroaches, snakes and grubs. Those were the things I didn’t expect to be at the National Pet Show, but guess what? They were all there.

William got to hold a snake. My mum did too. I didn’t want to hold it so I just touched it. It felt squishy and scaly and scary!

I went to a fossil finder and I had to get a brush and move the sand off the fossils. I won a piece of a dinosaur tooth and the man said it is 20 million years old. It is so cool.

There was a very cute dog there and her name is Lulu. Lulu looks like Boo’s sister. She is so cute and fluffy.

Snails were the things I didn’t expect to be there but they were. The snails were very slippery and slimy. I don’t understand why anyone would want them as a pet.

Nerf dog is an activity where the dogs have to block the ball from the net. They pick 6 kids to go in and shoot the ball out from a Nerf gun. It was so cool. The dogs were stopping it from going in by catching the ball in their mouth.

I got to hold two rats. The rats were so cute and one of the rats was wrapped in a towel. They were cute and soft.

I thought the National Pet Show was super fun. I loved it.

Cardiff - Caerdydd

In the weekend, me and my family (my mum, dad and big brother) went to Cardiff for a little holiday. When we got there we had a little surprise  - we got upgraded. We were right by the elevators in a suite. It was so cool.
We went to have a wander outside because we wanted to see what was down there. So off we went towards town.
We found a carousel. My Mum and Dad said we can go on it on our way back.

We carried on to see what was in the town. It turned out there was a mall. We went in the mall and sat down and ate.
After that we went back to the carousel and had a ride on it. There were horses, lions, tigers, panthers and teacups that spin round and round. We went on the teacup. I didn’t like it because I wanted to go on a horse.
The next day we went to the Doctor Who Experience. We got to fly the tardis and we got a Dr Who bag. Then we went to see the costumes. I liked the Dr Who Experience even though it was a bit scary for me.
William and me inside the Tardis.

We found out the the Welsh language is different to English. This is how you spell Cardiff in Welsh - Caerdydd. Do you see what I mean? It looked weird.
We visited the Cardiff Castle which I thought was really cool. We climbed the steep steps. I saw where they used to shoot arrows at the baddies. It was quite a squish.
The castle is old. It was built in the 11th century. It was even used to shelter people during the war.

I enjoyed Cardiff and the castle. It was a beautiful place to visit.

Amelia Bedelia - Book Review

I have been reading Amelia Bedelia books by Herman Parish. I think they are very funny because Amelia Bedelia takes everything literally. A man who was wanting a pie fast said, “Step on it.” She got the pie and stepped on it!
I think these books would be good for girls 7-10 years old.
My favourite bit was when Amelia Bedelia made a lemonade stand.

So if you think you are interested in them, go and get some of the Amelia Bedelia books.
