So hot Sorrento

We recently went to Sorrento in Italy, by train from Rome. We were like sardines in a can and the temperature was 36 degrees! SO HOT!!!!
We finally got there and my Mum and big sister were in a different carriage so we had to meet outside on the platform. Then we went to Sorrento beach.

We had to go down heaps of steps. Down, down, down - it was a long, long way down.

On the sand there were so many people. We hopped in the water and had a good time. It was so refreshing.

After our swim it was time to go. Yes! We found an elevator to take us back up to the road. There was a really long queue to go on the elevator and you have to pay. We thought we should pay the money because we didn't want to go up all those stairs.

We hopped back on the train and went back to our apartment to get ready to head out for dinner.

Jousting at Hampton Court Palace

Last week, me and my family went to Hampton Court Palace to see the jousting. We got to sit in the front so we had a really good view.

There were knights in shining armour on horses. It was, well, amazing. I could hear the crowd cheering and hooves thundering all around.

When they are jousting, the knights gallop towards each other. They try to hit the other knights with their long poles. They get points each time they hit them. They have a big wall in the middle so they don’t get the horses injured when they do it. The winner was Sir Walter.

There was a band playing old music. Ba-de-da-ba-de-da-bababa!

After the jousting, we went to the maze and my mum and dad got lost.  It was our turn to be the knights in shining armour - me and my brother. We had to rescue our parents.

Bugsy Malone

Knuckles!!!!! Last week me, my mum, my brother, and nana went to see Bugsy Malone at the Lyric theatre. It was really good.

The show is about gangsters and show girls in New York. There are guns but instead of bullets they shoot out custard.

My favourite song was, ‘We are the very best at being bad’. My favourite part was when Knuckles cracked his knuckles and Fat Sam yelled, ‘KNUCKLES!’ He did that a lot of times.

The show ended at like midnight then we went back.
